The Drain Valve is installed between two valves and provides a safe method for bleeding off trapped pressure (in the event that the tools are recovered from the well with trapped reservoir fluid). Attaching a drain nipple, and flow line, allows the trapped fluids to be bled off in a safe manner, or collected in a sample chamber.
