The Pump Through Flapper Valve (PTFV) is an annular rupture disc controlled emergency safety shut in valve used in HPHT environments where a secondary down hole barrier is required. Once the tool is closed, the flapper mechanism acts as a check valve to allow kill fluid to be pumped into the well while preventing back flow. The tool has the option to be configured with open circulation ports above the flapper to allow reverse circulation.
