Shut-In Valve

Description

The Shut-In Valve is rotation activated for up to two down-hole flow and shut-in periods. It is typically run in conjunction with the Hydraulic Valve during bottom-hole compression DST’s. It operates by shifting a sleeve in order to line up the flow passages, and also features a bearing for activation while in compression to maintain weight on the Packers.

The Valve is run in the hole in the open position and five clockwise rotations will place it into the first closed position. Another five rotations will open the valve again, followed by a final closed cycle to complete the set before tripping out of the hole.
